The Rockyts is a solo project by multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter, Jeremy Abboud (19), infusing classic rock into modern pop. It began in 2019 when he founded it, originally as a trio from Ottawa, Canada.
At 16, Jeremy worked on his debut album, "Come on and Dance", with legendary Beatles & Rolling Stones engineer, Eddie Kramer, & recorded it in only two days at Noble Street Studios in Toronto.
His first single with his band, "All of the Time”, made its satellite radio debut on Sirius XM's Underground Garage, where it was played by Hollywood Walk of Fame DJ, Rodney Bingenheimer (first DJ to play Oasis & Coldplay in North America), whom they later had the honour of introducing on his show.
Jeremy’s first solo single, "I Get High", debuted at #48 in Canadian rock radio, making its way to #39 on the national Active Rock chart (Mediabase) where it remained in the top 50 for 7 weeks. He has since garnerned 1.4M+ Spotify streams, 50K followers & been featured on official Apple Music playlists, New in Rock & New in Alternative.
His latest album, "Parkwood Manor" (recorded alone & self-engineered from his basement studio) takes a journey through pop/rock, to sunny psychedelic sounds, finally ending in a huge orchestral crescendo. Out now.
